Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area (LSNMCA) protects a vast sweep of the Canadian north shore of Lake Superior—including islands, shoals, and lakebed—between Thunder Bay and Terrace Bay/Rossport. It is among the world’s largest freshwater protected areas.
