Montreal and Ottawa are both great places to live and raise a family and 2 hours apart. But if I had to choose, I would choose Montreal. It’s bigger, more things to do and is cheaper. Plus the bigger airport means more international destinations at cheaper prices. But both are great.

Montreal has better nightlife and more entertainment but Ottawa is better for raising a family in my opinion. So for me, I would choose Ottawa.
